Liebe Fundbuero-Freunde,

die letzten Objekte sind von Leipzig nach Minneapolis übersiedelt. Es gibt jetzt dort kaum eine physische Spur des Fundbueros. Jedoch bleiben wir in der Erinnerungen und arbeiten wir weiter anderswo.

Vom 16.01 bis zum 10.02. wurde eine neue Installation unserer Vermittlerin, Monica Sheets, zu sehen. Das Fundbuero — How we work today… wurde Teil der Ausstellung “Land Body Industry” bei der Katherine E. Nash Galerie der University of Minnesota. Die Installation geht um die duale Rolle der DDR-Bürger als Arbeiter und Konsument und zeigt viele Objekte aus dem Archiv sowie Audio-interviews mit Teilnehmer_innen. Dear Friends of Das Fundbuero,

The last objects have been moved from Leipzig to Minneapolis. Now there is hardly any physical trace of the Fundbuero left there. But we remain in people’s memories, and we continue our work elsewhere.

From January 16 to February 10, a new installation by our Vermittlerin Monica Sheets was on view in the exhibition “Land Body Industry” at the Katherine E. Nash Gallery at the University of Minnesota. Das Fundbuero — How we work today… deals with the dual roles of GDR citizens as workers and consumers and features many objects from the archive as well as audio interviews with participants.
