Liebe Freunde des „Fundbueros“,
die Bäume tragen Knospen, die Sonne scheint und die Blumen sprießen aus der Erde – der Frühling ist da! Auch „Das Fundbuero“ hat das Grau des Winters hinter sich gelassen und begrüßt den Frühling mit bunten Neuigkeiten und spannenden Veranstaltungen.
Die Veranstaltung im April
Mit dem Frühling geht es an den Frühjahrsputz, um organisiert und gut sortiert in den Sommer zu starten, und so passt es gut, dass das Thema für diesen Monat der Alltag in der DDR ist. Für den Mittwoch, den 13. April um 19.00 Uhr, haben wir die Autorin Hannelore Crostewitz eingeladen. Sie wird aus ihrem Repertoire von Gedichten und Texten vortragen, die das alltägliche Leben beschreiben und reflektieren. Im Anschluss laden wir Sie ein, uns Ihre Erinnerungen und Geschichten des Alltags zu erzählen, und wir freuen uns auf eine lebendige Diskussion.
Vereinsgründung
„Das Fundbuero“ ist in Kürze ein eingetragener Verein! Dies ist ein wichtiger Schritt für eine dauerhafte, stabile und nachhaltige Arbeit des „Fundbueros“. Zur Zeit stellen wir ein Team von sieben Vereinsmitgliedern zusammen und schreiben an unserer Satzung. Wenn Sie nach Möglichkeiten suchen, „Das Fundbuero“ zu unterstützen, dann ist dies Ihre Chance. Wir suchen Vereinsmitglieder, die Funktionen im Verein übernehmen, und Mitglieder, die uns generell unterstützen wollen. Das erste offizielle Treffen und die Vereinsgründung wird in den kommenden zwei Monaten stattfinden. Nehmen Sie mit uns Kontakt auf, wenn Sie an einer Mitarbeit interessiert sind.

Der Laden
Der Frühlingsputz im „Fundbuero“ ist in vollem Gange. Warmes Wetter bedeutet für uns, dass wir mit den Arbeiten an der Außenfassade des Ladens beginnen können. Schon bald wird uns niemand mehr für einen Blumenladen halten. Der Fortschritt kann auf unserem Blog verfolgt werden, oder Sie schauen einfach mal bei uns vorbei!

Dear Friends of Das Fundbuero,
The trees are budding, the sun is shining, and the flowers are poking up through the ground – it seems like Spring has finally arrived. Das Fundbuero is also branching out, brightening up and showing new growth.
April Event
It’s time for Spring-cleaning and getting the house in order, so it is perhaps fitting that our theme for this month is the everyday in the GDR. On Wednesday, April 13 at 7 pm, the author Hannelore Crostewitz will read from her poems and writings that consider how the everyday is separate from, yet still reflects, the larger social landscape. Bring your memories and stories of daily life in the GDR for a lively discussion after the reading.
Verein Founding
Das Fundbuero is founding a Verein! A Verein is a simple form of non-profit organization in Germany. This is an important step to ensure the long-term stability and sustainability of Das Fundbuero’s work. We are currently forming the 7 person board that is required and writing the mission statement that will govern the organization. If you’ve been looking for a way to be more involved in Das Fundbuero, then this is your chance. We need people to fill specific roles on the board as well as members to offer general support. The official meeting will take place within the new two months. Contact us if you are interested in being part of this exciting next step.
Fundraiser
Our fundraiser continues online and off until May 15th. Many thanks to those of you who have already contributed. As of this writing, we only need 75 more people donating $25 each to reach our goal. If $25 is more than you can afford, remember that a donation of any amount gets us closer to the total. Our Storefront
Spring-cleaning is also in progress in our physical location. Warmer weather means that we can start to work again on the façade of the building. Our goal is that no one will mistake us for a flower store again. Keep track of the progress on the blog or stop by and see for yourself!
