Seit 1990 wollte Ostdeutschland nichts mehr mit den „armen“ Nachbarn im Osten zu tun haben, aber in der Zwischenzeit sind Tschechien, Slowenien und die Slowakei wirtschaftlich fast erfolgreicher geworden als die Ex-DDR. Wo liegen die Ursachen? Was ist anders gelaufen? Was können wir von unseren Nachbarn lernen?

Since 1990, the former East Germany has wanted little to do with its “poor” neighbors to the East, but in the meantime, many of these countries have become more economically successful than the Ex-GDR. What are the causes of this? What can Germany learn from its neighboring lands?
